Originally intended GUCCC pairing with motor 89, Taygeta, one of 8 pairs of middle Northwich boats built by Yarwoods.

30/2/1942        Transferred to Grand Union Canal Co, maintenance fleet as pumping boat

1/1/1948          Passed to BTC (D&IWE), maintenance fleet

1/10/1953        Passed to BTC (BTW)

1954                Sold to Wyvern Shipping Co Ltd, Linslade, renamed ELIZABETH

                        Re-registered Linslade No 8 (date unknown)

6/1956             Sold to Willow Wren Canal Carrying Co Ltd, renamed KESTREL

12/11/1956      Gauged BCN No 2378

1963                Transferred to Willow Wren Canal Transport Services Ltd

c1970              Sold into private ownership

                        Subsequent history is somewhat sketchy

1990-1992      Still unconverted, paired with the motor boat HYPERION

By 2012          Undercloth cabin conversion fitted, still named KESTREL

2018               Holiday accommodation in Bath area

NOTE There are other ex-working boats named Kestrel - see FMC Ostrich and FMC Kestrel
