1906 - wooden flyboat (ie "express"), built for the Shropshire Union Railways & Canal Company, fleet no 598

1923 - acquired by LMS, fleet no 102

mid 1950s-80s - converted to an hotel boat

Winner of the HNBOC Keay Award 2006.

2012: Saturn carried the runner bearing the Olympic Torch over the famous Pontcysyllte Aqueduct on the Llangollen Canal. Volunteer members of the Shropshire Union Fly-boat Restoration Society bow-haulled the boat over the Aqueduct as they did at the 200th Anniversary celebration of this World Heritage Site
